Area

Known as “Mon Mam Cymru” (Anglesey Mother of Wales) Anglesey is the largest island in England and Wales and Rhoscolyn is an enormously popular tourist destination. The Rhoscolyn area offers sandy beaches, dramatic cliff top walks, beautiful countryside and many extremely good eateries! Sailors, surfers and kayakers also flock to the area and the Anglesey Coastal Path gives walkers access to most of the island’s stunning coastline.

The Rhoscolyn landscape is covered in sites of special scientific interest and many regionally important geological sites. It is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the estate is actively involved in its conservation.

Anglesey is home to an enormous number of attractions for all members of the family – from Druid burial chambers to large country houses, from the largest aquarium in Wales to the village with the longest place name in Britain, and from plentiful art galleries to adrenaline fuelled coastal boat trips the list gets longer and longer all the time.
